FAQs
Taking Surveys
How frequently will I be invited to share my opinion? While
The TV Programmers Research Team issues survey invitations about twice a month, this doesn’t necessarily mean every member will be invited to participate each time. This is because, from time to time, only a set number of invitations are issued for certain surveys and discussions.
How will I know if there is a survey for me to complete?
We will send you an email invitation with a link to the survey. In addition, any available studies to complete will be shown under “My Activities” once you log into the member portal. You are under no obligation to participate; however, if after several invitations you do not participate in any surveys or discussions, we may consider you an inactive member. Inactive members may be removed from the community if they don’t participate over a period of time.
How much time does it take to complete a survey?
We know that your time is valuable, so we ensure that our surveys are as short as possible. They usually take no more than 5 to 10 minutes to complete.
How do I know you actually received my questionnaire answers?
At the end of each survey is a "Finish" button. Once you have clicked that button, your data is stored on our secure server. You will then see a thank you page. This indicates that we have received your input.
What topics will the surveys cover?
Surveys topics tie closely to UP TV and ASPiRE's programming, schedule and development, so will generally be related to the networks’ programs, TV and media consumption, and other consumer behaviors. Topics can range from asking about your favorite TV programs, to gauging your reaction to a new program idea, pilot, or title.
How will my responses to the surveys be used?
Your responses will be compiled with responses from other members, and will serve as key input for UP TV and ASPiRE as both networks continue to grow and create more content. We use survey results to shape new programs, determine titles of new programs and special content, schedule effectively, and improve your viewing experience.
Will anyone look at my individual responses to a survey?
Generally, no. Most often, survey answers are compiled with other TV Programmers' responses, and looked at on an aggregate basis. The exception to this is when we ask you to write in a response – with these types of responses, we do read through every answer individually, but we do not connect it back to your name.
Can I see the results of surveys?
In order to protect the privacy of fellow TV Programmers, we do not share full survey results. As much as possible, we will include highlights of survey results in our newsletters, so you can get an idea of what other members are saying.
